Can I make a carpet cleaning solution for my Bissell powersteamer? If so what should I use?

I bought a Bissell powersteamer from a garage sale over the weekend, after I bought it I went to walmart to get the cleaning solution, and it's $29.95 for just the pretreatment, and an extra $14 for the solution you put into the machine! No wonder they were selling it lol, it's brand new! Anyway, I simply can't afford that right now, I have an important event at my house tomorrow and I have an extremely severe 'high traffic' stain in front of my front door and I'm desperate to get it up! I've tried just using water, it worked a little but not much. Does anyone have a carpet cleaner solution 'recipe' made out of household items? I have bleach, Windex, bathroom cleaner & disinfectant, Gain washing powder, and all the usual household things... Any ideas?
