Mosin Nagant. How many shots can you put through it before you need a new barrel?

I'm not sure about the number of shots that depends on the condition of the barrel. I've heard you just put a few squirts down the barrel wipe it off and clean it like a normal gun. You don't need to strip it every time but when using corrosive ammo be sure to clean the barrel and bolt face well. Yes use a 30 cal brush and just put a light coating of oil on the exposed metal parts.
