I recently purchsed sims 3 but..?

well starting off, u def don't wanna clean ur disc with windex, use a cotton ball and alcohol (cleaning type). If it still doesnt work then try to ship it in to get it fixed, if thats not possible then try to take it back and get a new one, if they let u and buy a new one. The Sims 2 should work if it's not an additional add on to the original, if it isn;t an add on, then u should have the code that all sims games do to make'm work.
